Qigong Classes & Holistic Practice in Berlin
Body and mind in balance
Welcome to our Qigong school and holistic practice in Berlin, located between Kreuzberg and Tempelhofer Feld.
We are Andrea Lang and Arno Hager, Qigong teachers and German-certified Heilpraktiker (non-medical practitioners). Our work focuses on strengthening and balancing Qi – the vital energy that plays a central role in Chinese philosophy and Chinese Medicine.
We offer traditional Qigong classes as well as individual treatments and guidance for people who want to support their health, regain energy or find new ways of dealing with challenging periods in their lives. Our approach considers physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of health and wellbeing.
Offerings for English speakers: Andrea offers a qigong class – bilingual German-English on demand every Monday 7.30 p.m. Our monthly weekend workshops are also bilingual German-English whenever there is demand from English speakers. All treatment options are offered by Andrea in English as well.
Qigong in Berlin
Qigong literally means “work”, “practice” or “method with Qi”. In the understanding of traditional Qigong and Chinese Medicine, the continuous flow of Qi in the body and the interaction of body, mind and spirit are fundamental to health and wellbeing.
Our teaching is based on more than twenty years of our own Qigong practice. We both trained for many years with Qigong master Guo Bingsen at the Dao Yuan School for Qigong and have been teaching Qigong in Berlin for more than ten years.
Today, the main system we teach is Fan Teng Gong.
Fan Teng Gong
Fan Teng Gong is a traditional Qigong system of Daoist-Buddhist origin. It consists of 14 standing exercises which are learned step by step and eventually combined into a continuous sequence. A sitting meditation can complement the standing practice.
In traditional Qigong theory, the exercises are designed to absorb fresh Qi, strengthen its circulation in the body, release energetic blockages and expel used Qi. Unlike many relaxation techniques, Fan Teng Gong does not require visualisation, deliberate breath control or a particular mental state. Relaxation is often experienced as a result of the practice rather than as a prerequisite.
The system is intended for regular practice. The daily practice time is approximately 40 minutes, and learning the complete system usually takes one to two years, depending on individual practice and progress. No previous Qigong experience is required.

Our Holistic Practice in Berlin
There are times when illness, exhaustion or a personal crisis interrupts the flow of life. Our aim is to support people in finding ways to bring their energy back into movement and constructive change.
As Heilpraktiker, we take a holistic view of health that includes physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions as well as the social circumstances in which a person lives.
Depending on your individual situation and needs, our work follows three complementary approaches.

Qi Treatments based on Chinese Medicine
Our Qi treatments combine our long-standing Qigong practice with principles and methods of Chinese Medicine.
Depending on the individual situation, we work with meridians and acupuncture points, transfer Qi with or without physical contact and use methods such as acupressure and Gua Sha.
The aim, within the framework of Chinese Medicine, is to support and harmonise the flow of Qi and to release energetic blockages.

Energetic Treatments
Andrea Lang offers energetic treatments based on Spiritual Medicine and Healing, including the Nährsystem according to Ursa Paul.
The Nährsystem is a form of subtle energy work (feinstoffliche Energiearbeit) developed on the basis of traditional energetic healing practices and concepts of chakras and the aura. It considers the human being as a unity of body, mind and spirit. Complementary methods include aura work, aura cleansing and energetic balancing.
A Nährsystem is built up gradually over a sequence of several sessions rather than in a single treatment.

Psychological & Spiritual Guidance
Not every difficult situation can be approached through physical treatment alone. Emotional patterns, beliefs and ways of dealing with experiences can also bind energy and influence how we experience challenging phases of life.
Our psychological and spiritual guidance incorporates elements of systemic approaches, constellation work and Focusing. It can be used independently or in combination with Qigong and Qi treatments.
This work is intended as guidance and personal support. It is not psychotherapy as defined by German psychotherapy law and does not replace psychiatric or psychotherapeutic treatment where this is required.

About Andrea Lang
I am Andrea Lang, Qigong teacher and Heilpraktiker, working together with Arno Hager in our Qigong school and holistic practice in Berlin.
We both completed many years of Qigong training with master Guo Bingsen, including Fan Teng Gong and all three levels of Nei Jing Gong, the Qigong of inner strength. Our professional development also includes Chinese Medicine, Qi healing, communication, counselling, systemic approaches and constellation work.
I have been practising as a Heilpraktikerin since 2016 and have additional training in Spiritual Medicine and Healing and the Nährsystem according to Ursa Paul.
Before becoming a Qigong teacher and practitioner, I worked for many years in international management in the healthcare sector, with a particular focus on Asia. I lived and studied in the USA and UK, lived and worked in Korea and Vietnam and worked for many years in an English-speaking environment. Therefore I am happy to offer all my treatment options in English as well plus bilingual German-English qigong classes on demand.
Our Qigong school and practice was founded in 2016. After almost ten years in Berlin-Kreuzberg’s Wrangelkiez, we are now located near Platz der Luftbrücke, between Kreuzberg and Tempelhofer Feld.
